We Join Forces for the Green Future Project

Within the scope of 16-19 January 2024 Türkiye Opening Meeting and Study Visit to Çine on 17 and 18 January 2024, power plants using renewable energy sources in Çine and Aydın were visited. The 2-day technical visits were organized by the project team, including project coordinator Sırcemal Dinçer and deputy coordinator Olcay Dinçer with  The municipal representatives of our project partners, Robert Vodopic and Eva Maria Sobotik Pavan from Karlovac Municipality, Deputy Mayor Donatas Dirgincius and Mindaugas Piecia from Taurage Municipality, and the Environmental Energy Association Chairman of the Board Tolga Şallı, participated in the meeting.

During the study visits in Çine, Biotrend Biomass Power Plant and LDG Solar Power Plant in Altınova, İncirliova Efeler Biogas Power Plant were visited on the first day. On the second day, KenJes1 Geothermal Power Plant in Aydın Yılmazköy and Wind Power Plant in Söke were visited.

The project team and our partners were provided with quantitative information on each energy source by technical engineers in the field, while Tolga Şallı from the project partner Environmentalist Energy Association shared our country's energy policies and goals regarding the climate crisis with our guests.  Information was received from the power plant authorities on production data, their contribution to the national electricity capacity and production workflow, and our guests from Croatia and Lithuania exchanged ideas about the legislation on electricity generation in their countries.
