Litvanya Taurage Study Visit
TOGETHER WITH THE MUNICIPALITY OF KARLOVAC, ÇİNE MUNICIPALITY PARTICIPATED IN THE STUDY VISIT TO TAURAGE, LITHUANIA  TO SEE GOOD PRACTICE EXPERIENCES ON SITE. 17/21 June 2024 Within the scope of the "We Join Forces for the  Green Future" Project, which we are implementing within the scope of the Town Twinning-II (For a Green Future) Grant Scheme between Turkey and the EU, study visits were planned in order to see good practice experiences on combating climate change and environment on site, to be informed and to develop capacity. Croatian BELC partner, the city of Karlovac celebrates unity and youth engagement on Europe Day
On May 9th, 2024, the city of Karlovac, in collaboration with the Carpe Diem Association, celebrated Europe Day, signifying peace and unity across the European continent. This day was filled with activities that brought Europe closer to citizens in the BELC partner city located in central Croatia. In line with this spirit, Karlovac organised a special event for the youth. Young residents had the opportunity to meet delegations from Turkey and Lithuania, who were visiting as part of the town twinning project initiated by Karlovac. Tree Festival Event
The 21 March Forest Week, which is the first of the “Green Future Campaign from 7 to 70” activities of the “ We Join Forces for the Green Future Project”, which we carry out within the scope of the Town Twinning-II Grant Scheme between Turkey and the EU, was celebrated simultaneously in Çine Municipality, our Project Partners Environmentalist Energy Association, Lithuania Taurage and Croatia Karlovac. Within the scope of the tree festival event, 150 pistachio pines were planted in Çine, 300 pine saplings were planted in Taurage and 7 tamarisk, tamariks and Japanese cherries were planted in Karlovac.
